Description

A fable play with first year students around stories from an Arab character called  Juha in a comedic framework.
The Gaza Mono-Logues are personal testimonies of 33 young students from Gaza, who lived the war in 2009. these monologues were sent out to the world in 2010, translated into 14 languages and performed by over 1500 youngsters in more than 60 cities in 36 countries around the Globe.
As part of their training with ASHTAR Theatre in the Drama Training Program, ASHTAR Theatre students from the second year presented "The Jubilee" by Anton Chekhov, and scenes from "Midsummer Night's Dream" by Shakespeare.
the students came out with amazing pieces that were all transformed into acted sketches and scenes. Some of these sketches and monologues speak about society, love, relationships, oppression, sex, knowledge, family, society's weird habits, and many other themes.
The play revolves around the life of a 16-years-old girl named Emma, who is raped during a birthday party organized by a schoolmate, leading to a radical change in her life and her societal and familial relationship.
