The martyrs wander in a passage that links dream
to reality... from this time and space they send
signals of their desire to come back... from such
fantasy the work is constructed... from the
fascinating entwine of the two eras “Um El Izz”
stands with a banner signalling that they will
come back.
Suddenly, the present seems harsh,
divided and insecure; or the
future would appear to be a
painful investment into a
present that would drive
its past towards suicide.
In Martyrs Are Coming Back,
the concept is metaphorical and phantasmal.
It unhesitatingly and necessarily drives roughly
towards the great fear of what if they truly decide
to come back !!
